This week was definitely challenging for me in terms of skill. I\u2019m getting used to a new medium, and while I have a lot of ambitions when it comes to audio-visual manipulation, it\u2019s taking me some time to really understand the remixing process. It\u2019s not necessarily coming quickly, but it is definitely coming along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once I decided on my narrative, though, I had a lot of fun finding clips. A large reason I chose my particular topic \u2014 Trisha Paytas \u2014 is because of how much internet content I can derive from it. Trisha has a notorious digital footprint, and I wanted to play into that by rearranging her different eras to form a new story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While I have a pretty clear idea of what clips and media I want to use, I am constantly tempted to keep digging through her and third-party content to find more \u201ctreasure.\u201d It\u2019s easy to get lost in the hunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of technical skill, I\u2019ve been playing around in DaVinci Resolve. It\u2019s definitely a learning curve, but I\u2019m getting more comfortable. Even though it\u2019s slow, it\u2019s exciting to see the pieces starting to come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
